EXCELSIOR PARK Monte Carlo Chronograph Ref. RF 7740 1980s
Here we have Excelsior Park Chronograph, a wonderful example of an unique and rare timepiece. This beautiful WRISTCLASSIC features a case with screw-down back which is approximately 40.5 mm excluding the original winding crown. It offers a fairly wide-set bezel that gives this watch a nice presence. The simple EP-logo alongside the clean indexes and big lume handset are harmonious and well balanced. What makes this particular piece rare and desirable is the see through case back. We got in touch with EP and have the confirmation, that this version has only been produced in very small numbers - but just read the words from EP:
"The watch with see-through was part of the 1037 stocks. And based on the article we found, there were produced in very limited number during the early 1980’s and these are not easily be found."
This WRISTCLASSIC is powered by a Valjoux 7740 manual wind caliber, running strong and keeping time well. This Chronograph is a very cool 80s timepiece and hard to find again. It’s a true WRISTCLASSIC with perfect proportions and timeless styling. This is the real deal, everything you would want in a vintage chronograph.
Why buying a vintage watch?
There are many great reasons to buy a vintage watch. Every watch we sell here at WRISTCLASSICS has its own story. Over the years, with every scratch, dent and aging of the dial, they have become unique timepieces of their own. This exact watch you are looking at now, once brought a lot of joy to the first owner with the purchase years ago. And now many years later this vintage watch will bring the same joy to your life. With buying a vintage watch you are showing your commitment to protecting the enviroment, instead of supporting the mass production of modern fashion watches.
