MOVADO Datron HS 360 18k solid gold - 1970s
Here we have a Movado Datron HS 360 from the 1970s, a wonderful example of a rare solid gold timepiece. The very special feature of this WRISTCLASSIC is the case and the material what it is made of. The Datron HS 360 has manly been produced in steel, gold capped and 14k gold. The 18k solid gold version of the chronograph was only produced in very limited numbers. The dial shows almost no signs of use and the 18k solid gold case is in good condition with sharp edges. Dating to the 1970s this classic c-shaped case measures 38 mm. The watch is powered by an impressive Zenithe El Primero cal. 3019 automatic movement, running good and keeping time. It comes with an suede leatherstrap in unworn condition. This Movado is a very cool gold timepiece and hard to find again.
Movado was founded under the name LAI Ditescheim & Freres SA in 1881 in La Chaux-de-Fonds in Switzerland. The company changed its name to Movado in 1905. Movado has the meaning "always in motion" in Esperanto. This watch company is specially known for its minimalist style.
