OMEGA Constellation Ref 168.019 - Full Set - 1969

What is a full set? In the watch world a full set is defined as the watch, the box and the original sale papers. Now what do you call this set here. It is not only including the watch, the box and the sell papers it also contains the original customs papers from 1969 when the watch was brought into the european union through the airport of London. Even the customs queue number comes with this full set. So i guess we have to define a new word for this fullest of the full sets. This is a rare and beautiful example of an Omega Constellation sold in 1969. It features a stainless steel case in nice vintage condition surrounding the outstanding silver dial. The dial is in mint condition. The simple Omega-logo alongside the silver indexes and beautiful hands are harmonious and well balanced. The crown is original with the appropriate Omega-logo. The watch comes with nice and original Omega bracelet. The legendary red Omega Box is in used condition. This WRISTCLASSIC is an iconic example of the art of watch manufacturing by Omega and the design was made by famous Gerald Genta. It presents timeless styling, perfect proportions and comes as a full set with box and original papers dating back to 20th of September 1969. It even features the handwritten recept from the jeweler. This timepiece is as complete as it gets and almost impossible to find again in this set and status.

Omega was founded in 1848 in La Chaux-de-Fonds by Louis Brandt. Out of this small watch manufacture grew a large company: In 1894, the famous 19-ligne pocket watch movement was developed and named ‘Omega’. Omega, as the final letter of the Greek alphabet, stands for the ultimate step in perfection and quality. In the 1930 the company entered into a collaboration with the S.S.I.H. (Société Suisse pour l’Industrie Horlogère). Out of this collaboration the Swatch Group developed. Today, Omega is the flagship of this prestigious and huge company. In 1932, Omega entered its partnership with the Olympics which continues till today. When in 1969 Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin.
