This is a beautiful Orator Triple Date with Moonphase from the 1950s. A truly beautiful and stunning example of a vintage watch with great features from a small watch manufacture. This Chronograph is a triple date watch. It shows the number of date, the day name and the month. In addition this beautiful timepiece shows – as a special feature - the moonphase. In total it is an unique piece you will probably not find again. The watch is in great condition, running and all functions are working. This watch is completely original and measures 36 mm in diameter. A perfect gents dress watch or for casual wearing. What makes this watch unique and rare is the movement. It is a Venus cal. 195. This movement was never officially put into production and only a few prototype watches from that period (50's-60's) are known worldwide. Around 100 pieces were archieved in the 50's-60's. Later, in the 1980's, when Breitling was taken over, they found these NOS Venus 195 movements in the Swiss archives and they used some to make a limited run of a Breitling Ref. 1940. 
 
This is a rare and beautiful timepiece in great condition. Orator is a small swiss brand mostly only collectors know about. Because of the small company itself and the rare movement these watches were only made in very small numbers.
