Tudor Oyster 1940s

Here we have a Tudor Oyster, a wonderful example of a rare and classic timepiece. Special feature of this beautiful watch is its great dial in an absolute vintage condition with a stunning overall patina. It seems like this watch was slightly touched by history. This beautiful WRISTCLASSIC comes with an unpolished case with sharp edges. Dating to the 1940s this classic model measures 34 mm. The thin second hand in a deep ocean blue gives this piece extra charm and character. The crown is original with the appropriate “oyster patent”- lettering. Despite its age this WRISTCLASSIC is keeping time well. The watch comes with a handcrafted leather strap in an unworn condition.

The brand Tudor is inseparably and historical linked with Rolex as its second brand. Mr. Hans Wilsdorf, founder of Rolex, wanted to combine a lower price segment and the high quality of Rolex. In 1926, the watch factory "Veuve de Philippe Hüther" registered the Tudor brand on behalf of Hans Wilsdorf. After relocating to Geneva, Wilsdorf acquired exclusive rights to use Tudor as a brand.
