The model presented here is a gorgeous and rare Bovet mono split seconds/mono-rattrapante chronograph from around 1940. The case is a round stainless steel case with 38 mm diameter, round pushers and a stainless steel snap-back. The watch features a beautiful tropical dial with painted Arabic numerals which perfectly match the luminous sword hands. The movement is a manual-winding Valjoux 84 with mono split-seconds function and column wheel. To make this even more collectable this piece is the rare military version with a stamped lug (no. 63) and rare Mono-Rattrapante writing on the dial. This superb chronograph from Bovet is unique and sensational, a true collector’s item.
